This is an ode to my favorite section of the classic House of Horrors: The Vault. I owe so much of my teenage horror education to this section of that classic site. It fueled my hunger for discovery, for seeking out older films I’d never heard of and newer titles that had completely slipped my radar. It made me want to see everything, every kind of movie, and that’s absolutely what I want to bring to this Hall of Fame. Of course, I also cannot resist leaning in to my own taste.

The goal of this section is to provide a balance of timeless classics, personal favorites, fan-favorites, and hidden gems, from the golden age of the Universal Monsters to the current era and everything in between. Every year since the genre’s inception has given us an assortment of horror worth studying and celebrating. Because of that, consider this a sample platter. There’s much more to come!
